Do you love smoothies?
Smoothies are a great on-the-go breakfast option.
The problem is many are loaded with sugar and carbohydrates,
and not a great source of protein.
Here’s a step-by-step plan to help you create a balanced smoothie!
Creating balanced smoothies doesn’t have to be complicated.
Here’s how in four easy steps:
1. Put in some protein — this could be Greek yogurt or whey protein powder
2. Add fruit and veggies — try only using one serving of fruit like berries or peaches. For veggies there are loads of options.
3. Add in your healthy fat — nut butter or avocado
4. Add in your liquid of choice — I recommend water, almond mylk, coconut milk etc.
You can even sneak additional veggies in by adding frozen riced cauliflower instead of ice!
