Strong evidence shows physical inactivity increases the risk of many major adverse health conditions including:

10.5% (95% confidence interval 4.0% to 17.3%) of coronary heart disease
13.0% (6.4% to 20.2%) of type 2 diabetes
17.9% (17.9% to 27.8%) of breast cancer
18.7% (10.5% to 27.1%) of colon cancer, and
16.9% (13.6% to 20.3%) of deaths from any cause
